Gaddafi Stadium to be reopened in first week of Feb: PCB chairman Naqvi

Lahore, Jan 31 (UNI) The Gaddafi Stadium — under renovation for the ICC Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan next month — will reopen in the first week of February, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said during his visit to the stadium here on Friday.
The reconstruction of three stadiums — in Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi — which started on October 10 last year, looked in peril at one time as the board tried to finish the preparations for Pakistan’s first ICC event since the World Cup in 1996, the Dawn reported.
While speaking to the media in Gaddafi Stadium on Friday, the PCB chairman said that the preparations were on schedule and the inauguration will take place in the first week of

India retain top position in Men's ODI team rankings after annual update

Dubai, May 11 (UNI) India have maintained their position at the top of the ICC Men’s ODI Team Rankings following the annual update carried out on Monday, but their lead over New Zealand has reduced from eight to five points.
India have slipped from 119 to 118 points even as New Zealand have gained two points to move up to 113, with reigning World Cup champions Australia third with an unchanged 109 points.
The only change in the top 10 positions is that South Africa (102) have overtaken Pakistan (98) to fourth position.
