Govt to resolve various issues of journalists: Maha minister

Kolhapur, June 21 (UNI) Maharashtra and District Guardian Minister, Prakash Abitkar, assured on Saturday that the government will hold a separate meeting to resolve various issues related to journalists in the state, including of their health.
Speaking after inaugurating a two-day meeting of the Maharashtra State Newspaper and Media Accreditation Committee (MSNMAC) organised by Kolhapur Information Department on behalf of the Directorate General of Information and Public Relations at district collector's office here, he said that if a proposal regarding journalists' benefits is submitted, then Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will take a positive decision on the lines of the Madhya Pradesh government's decision on this issue.
Abitkar said that society needs journalists, who can present the facts of the society in a precise but correct manner and give right direction.
