Growing violence against women reflects ideological rise of Manuwad: AIDWA

Shimla, Nov 12 (UNI) The 13th state conference of the All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA), Himachal Pradesh, concluded at Kalibari, Shimla, today, with a strong call to resist the growing violence and discrimination against women, which the organization said reflects the “ideological rise of Manuwad” in the country.
Addressing the concluding session, AIDWA National General Secretary Mariyam Dhawale said that attacks on women, Dalits, and minorities were part of a wider ideological and political shift undermining equality and justice.
“The increasing violence against women is not just a social concern — it reveals an ideological regression that promotes patriarchal domination and suppresses women’s voices,” she said.
