Guneet Monga expresses concern about gender gap in film industry

Hyderabad, July 15 (UNI) Academy award-winning producer Gunnet Monga today expressed her deep concern about gender gap in film industry, saying that "less than 10 percent of Indian film directors are women though we produce over 15,000 films a year".
Sharing her plans, Guneet revealed her latest initiative: Women in Film – India Chapter, a part of the global Women In Film (WIF) network.
"Through this chapter, we aim to create a platform where women in cinema can connect, be heard, and drive real policy change, Monga said while addressing an audience of over 200 at the ‘Golden Lens’ symposium, hosted by Young FICCI Ladies Organisation (YFLO) here.
