Gym owner shot dead in Hansi, Lawrence gang claims responsibility

Chandigarh, June 11 (UNI) In a shocking incident in Haryana’s Hansi, a gym owner was shot dead early Thursday morning while he was conducting warm-up sessions for trainees, with a woman also sustaining injuries during the firing, police said.
According to officials, the incident took place around 5:25 am when two bike-borne assailants arrived at the gym location. CCTV footage shows the attackers reaching the spot on a motorcycle, with the pillion rider wearing a white cap and face covered. Within seconds of getting down, he opened indiscriminate fire at close range, targeting the gym owner’s head and upper body. The entire firing sequence lasted around five seconds, during which approximately 10 rounds were fired, officials added.
The victim has been identified as Kapil Redhu (25), a gym operator originally from Dalmwala village in Jind district, who had been running a gym in Hansi for the past three years. He had recently shifted his gym operations near Krantikari Chowk. Police said Kapil was the only son of his parents.
