Hamirpur police arrests a proclaimed offender

Hamirpur(HP), May 19 (UNI) Hamirpur Police continued its sustained drive against proclaimed offenders and absconders to ensure effective enforcement of law and strengthen public confidence in the justice system.
In a significant achievement, one proclaimed offender namely Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, aged 56 years, S/O Sh. Desh Bandhu, resident of Sarkaghat, District Mandi, H.P., who had been declared a Proclaimed Offender on 27-02-2023, was successfully apprehended by a police team of Police Station Sadar Hamirpur led by ASI Prakash Chand on Tuesday from Sarkaghat area.
SP, Hamirpur, Balbir Singh Thakur said that the accused was produced before the Hon’ble Court here today, which remanded him to Judicial Custody till 28-05-2026.

2 soldiers killed in accidental blast near LoC in Baramulla
