Harry Kane equals England World Cup scoring record in Croatia win

New York, June 18 (UNI) Harry Kane scored twice as England opened its World Cup campaign with a 4-2 victory over Croatia on Wednesday, matching a national record for goals scored at the tournament.
Kane's retaken first-half penalty and his powerful header from a Declan Rice corner took his tally to 10 World Cup goals, equaling the mark set by Gary Lineker.
Lineker scored his 10 goals across the 1986 and 1990 World Cups in Mexico and Italy, while Kane reached the milestone in his third tournament appearance.
