Haryana CM announces Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia for Rohtak fire victims

Panchkula, June 10 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday announced an ex-gratia assistance of Rs 10 lakh each for the families of those who lost their lives in the devastating fire that swept through a commercial complex near D-Park in Rohtak, besides extending financial aid of Rs 2 lakh to each injured victim.
The announcement came a day after a massive blaze, suspected to have been triggered by an air-conditioner compressor explosion, engulfed a row of commercial establishments in the busy D-Park area of Rohtak. The fire rapidly spread through the building, trapping several people inside and leading to multiple casualties and injuries. Firefighters, police personnel and district administration teams carried out extensive rescue operations for several hours to bring the situation under control.
Expressing deep grief over the loss of lives in a post on X, the Chief Minister conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls. He also wished a speedy recovery to those undergoing treatment for burn injuries and other trauma sustained in the incident.

Haryana bets on air ambulance network, plans helicopter access near 5 medical colleges
