Haryana dominates as KIPG 2025 concludes

New Delhi, Mar 27 (UNI) The second edition of the Khelo India Para Games concluded on Thursday after eight days of intense sporting action, with Haryana once again emerging as the overall champions by securing 34 gold medals. Tamil Nadu finished second with 28 golds, while Uttar Pradesh claimed third place with 23 golds.
The event, which saw participation from nearly 1,300 athletes, was held across three venues in New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, IG Indoor Stadium, and Karni Singh Shooting Range. Khelo India Para Games 2025 showcased remarkable performances, epitomising the resilience and determination of para-athletes.
A total of 18 national records were set in KIPG 2025, with notable performances from para powerlifters Jaspreet Kaur (Punjab), Manish Kumar (Haryana), Seema Rani (Punjab), and Jhandu Kumar (Bihar), all of whom clinched gold medals.
