Haryana teacher suspended over Jantar Mantar protest on exam irregularities

Chandigarh, June 10 (UNI): A guest teacher from Haryana’s Rohtak district has been suspended after attending a protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar against alleged irregularities in competitive examinations, including NEET and recruitment tests.
According to official orders issued by the District Elementary Education Officer (DEEO), Rohtak, primary teacher Sulekha Dalal was placed under suspension with effect from June 8. The suspension order, however, reportedly did not mention any specific reason for the action.
Dalal, who has been serving as a guest teacher since 2007 and is currently posted at a Government Middle School in Rohtak’s Rainkpura Colony, said she was shocked by the decision and had sought clarification from the Education Department regarding the grounds for her suspension.
