Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Chief Engineer suspended

Chandigarh, Feb 13 (UNI) A Chief Engineer of the Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL) has been placed under suspension for dereliction of duty during a fire incident at a power substation, state Energy Minister Anil Vij said on Thursday.
Vij said the Chief Engineer/TS of HVPNL Hisar, Anil Kumar has been suspended for failing to inform his higher authorities about the fire that broke out in the 220 kv substation in Gurugram on February 9. The fire had disrupted the power supply to around 22 societies and other areas in Gurugram.
Due to this, the Energy Minister took strict note of the situation and recommended Kumar's immediate suspension. UNI GS SSP
