Haryana: Youtuber Jyoti Malhotra's judicial custody extended

Hisar, June 23 (UNI) A Hisar court on Monday extended by 14 days the judicial custody of YouTuber and travel
vlogger Jyoti Malhotra, who was arrested on the charges of spying.
Jyoti was presented before the court via video conferencing. The next hearing will be on July 07.
Notably, her bail petition was rejected by a lower court recently and according to her lawyer Adv. Kumar Mukesh, they were in process of approaching the sessions court.
Jyoti was arrested on May 15. UNI GS MR SSP

Punjab ends date-of-birth tie-breaker, equal marks to get equal ranks in PSEB exams

Chandigarh, June 9 (UNI): In a significant reform aimed at making the examination system more equitable, the Punjab government has decided to discontinue the practice of using a student's date of birth as a tie-breaker in board examination merit rankings. Students securing identical marks in Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) examinations will now be awarded the same rank.
