Haunting trailer of 'Monster: The Ed Gein Story' unveiled

New York, Sept 16 (UNI) The spectre of America's most macabre killer looms once more as the first full trailer for "Monster: The Ed Gein Story", the third instalment in Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan's acclaimed true-crime anthology, has officially been released.
Starring Charlie Hunnam in the titular role, the Netflix series will premiere globally on October 3, reports VARIETY.
Set against the bleak expanse of 1950s rural Wisconsin, the season lays bare the duality of Ed Gein's existence, a seemingly meek, solitary farmer concealing unspeakable horrors within his decrepit homestead.
What appeared to be an ordinary farmhouse concealed a chamber of horrors: corpses plundered from graveyards, grim trophies crafted from their remains and the oppressive shadow of a mother's dominance that twisted her son's soul.
Alongside Hunnam, the cast of “Monster: The Ed Gein Story” also includes: Tom Hollander, Laurie Metcalf, Suzanna Son, Vicky Krieps, Olivia Williams, Lesley Manville, Joey Pollari, Charlie Hall, Tyler Jacob Moore, Mimi Kennedy, Will Brill, Greyson K. Reilly and Robin Weigert.
Ian Brennan and Ryan Murphy created the series and executive produced, with Brennan also serving as writer. Hunnam is an executive producer in addition to starring. Max Winkler, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson, Nissa Diederich, Louise Shore, and Carl Franklin are also executive producers. Brennan directed two episodes of the season, while Winkler directed six.
A fourth season of “Monster” is already in the works, which will focus on the Lizzie Borden case. Hunnam is negotiating to return to the franchise as Borden’s father, while Ella Beatty will play Borden herself.
