HBO confirms its Harry Potter series will not feature a narrator

Los Angeles, Nov 6 (UNI) HBO has officially shut down circulating rumours suggesting that its "Harry Potter" television adaptation will feature a narrator.
The clarification puts an end to a wave of rumours that had spread through fan forums and entertainment outlets, suggesting that an off-screen voice would guide the story, reports DEADLINE.
The confusion stemmed from a report by Redanian Intelligence, which claimed that British actor Tom Turner, known for "Beauty and the Beast", had been cast as the series' narrator. Turner’s voice agency touts his “rich” and “luxurious” tones, but HBO sources said they will not be part of Potter, which is scheduled to premiere in 2027.
Production has been underway in the United Kingdom for several months, with Dominic McLaughlin stepping into the iconic role of Harry Potter.
Alastair Stout will play Harry’s best friend Ron Weasley, and Arabella Stanton will round out the trio of heroes as bookworm Hermione Granger.
Other cast includes Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Professor McGonagall, and Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape.
Succession duo Francesca Gardiner and Mark Mylod write and direct, respectively. Gardiner serves as showrunner and executive producer, and Mylod will direct multiple episodes in addition to serving as executive producer.
