For the 400th time, hockey icon Manpreet Singh walked out wearing the India jersey, adding his name to an elite list of legends who have graced the world stage with unwavering consistency

On his 200th start, Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team) moved into second place on the MotoGP victory tally charts – surpassing Legend Giacomo Agostini – in a display of perfection at the Liqui Moly Grand Prix of Germany. It’s 69 wins now for the King of the Sachsenring, as Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP), on his 100th start, strung together an impressive ride to finish P2 while injured. Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) bounced back with a podium finish in P3 in a battle that saw rostrum contenders crash out at the Sachsenring.

Paris, July 13 (UNI) Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek) crushed his sprint rivals to take a brilliant win on Stage 8 at the Tour de France. The Italian comfortably held off Wout van Aert (Visma-Lease a Bike) to win in the green jersey, which he will now inherit properly after borrowing it from race leader Tadej Pogacar (UAE Emirates-XRG), who led the points classification overnight.

India end engagements at Lonato World Cup

New Delhi, July 13 (UNI) India ended engagements at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Shotgun in Lonato, after the pair of Lakshay Sheoran (22,19,25) and Neeru Dhanda (25,24,25), despite shooting a perfect third series, fell short of the Trap Mixed Team medal rounds. They totaled 140 out of a possible 150 in the qualifying round to finish 10th among 54 pairs.
