HP: Nearly 50 Nomination Papers Rejected in Hamirpur District for PRI elections

Hamirpur(HP) , May 13 (UNI) The scrutiny process has been completed for a total of 5,333 nomination papers filed for the elections—to be held in three phases—covering a total of 1,860 posts.
These posts include those for the 19 wards of the Hamirpur Zila parishad, the 119 wards across all 6 Panchayat Samitis (Block Development Committees) of the district, and the Pradhans (Heads), Up-Pradhans (Deputy Heads), and Ward Members of the district's 242 Gram Panchayats.
Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer (Panchayat), Gandharva Rathore, said that during the scrutiny process—which commenced on Tuesday morning—52 nomination papers were rejected. Conversely, 5,281 nomination papers were found to be valid.
