HP School Education Board accused of 'profiteering', fee hike draws flak

Dharamshala, May 6 (UNI) Noted educationist Dr. Mamaraj Pundir, former provincial general secretary of the All India National Educational Federation, has strongly criticised the functioning of the Himachal Pradesh School Education Board, alleging that it has turned into a “money-making hub.”
Dr. Pundir said the Board has been imposing an undue financial burden on students and their parents by continuously increasing various fees over the past three years.
Highlighting key concerns, he termed the re-evaluation fee of ₹1,000 and re-checking fee of ₹800 per subject as exorbitant and unfair, particularly for poor and middle-class students.
