HP: Six candidates withdraw their nomination papers for Municipal Body elections in Bilaspur

Bilaspur, May 6 (UNI) A total of 87 candidates are left in the electoral fray for Municipal Council general elections 2026, including four urban bodies of Bilaspur district, after 6 candidates withdrew their nomination papers today.
Giving this information, District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Bilaspur Rahul Kumar said that under Municipal Council Bilaspur, Shalini and Abhilasha have withdrawn their names from ward number 4, while Banti Devi has withdrawn her name from ward number 7. He said that now a total of 29 candidates are left in the electoral fray in Bilaspur Municipal Council.
Whereas in Municipal Council Ghumarwin, Tripta from Ward No. 2 and Satish Kumar from Ward No. 5 have withdrawn their names. After the withdrawal of their nominations, now a total of 25 candidates are in the fray for Municipal Council Ghumarwin.
