HPBOSE holds workshop to boost question paper quality

Dharamshala, May 6 (UNI: The Himachal Pradesh School Education Board (HPBOSE) organised a three-day workshop for all subjects of Classes 9 and 10 to enhance the quality of question papers and promote a more effective evaluation system, Board Chairman Dr Rajesh Sharma said on Wednesday.
He informed that during the workshop, a comparative review of question papers of HPBOSE, CBSE and ICSE was carried out. Detailed discussions were also held on syllabus, blueprint and marking schemes to make the evaluation process more balanced and transparent.
Sharma further said that special emphasis was laid on preparing model question papers in line with the PARAKH taxonomy. Instructions were also issued to include 20–30 per cent competency-based questions in question papers to encourage conceptual and practical understanding among students instead of rote learning.
