New Delhi, Jan 20 (UNI) Delhi Leader of Opposition Atishi on Tuesday described as false and baseless the allegations by the BJP that she insulted Sikh Gurus. affirming her and her family's reverence for Guru Tegh Bahadur and Sikh Gurus.
In a statement, Atishi accused the BJP of repeatedly targeting the Sikh community, referencing the party's branding of Sikh farmers as "Khalistanis" during the agricultural protests. She also criticised the BJP for appointing Kapil Mishra as a minister, noting that he had previously apologised in court for making false statements.
The AAP leader alleged that Kapil Mishra edited a video to insert references to Sikh Gurus for political gain, aiming to shift focus away from issues like pollution. She claimed that the case filed in Jalandhar and the court directions against Mishra demonstrate the fabricated nature of the controversy.
