Imogen Poots and John Reynolds to board 'Sex Criminals'

Los Angeles, May 9 (UNI) Imogen Poots and John Reynolds have been cast in the lead roles of "Sex Criminals", Prime Video’s upcoming adaptation of the acclaimed Image Comics series.
The eight-part series is being developed by Emily V. Gordon, Kumail Nanjiani and Tze Chun in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios and LuckyChap, according to DEADLINE.
In the eight-episode Sex Criminals, co-created by Gordon, Nanjiani and Chun, Suze (Poots) is a normal girl with an extraordinary ability: when she has sex, she stops time. One night, she meets Jon (Reynolds), who has the same gift. And so they do what any other sex having, time-stopping couple would do: they rob banks.
Nanjiani, who will also appear in the series, Gordon and Chun serve as showrunners and will executive produce the series based on the comic, written by Matt Fraction and illustrated by Chip Zdarsky, which was originally published in 2013.
The production is backed by Winter Coat Films and LuckyChap, with executive producers Dani Melia, Dani Gorin, Fraction and Zdarsky also attached. Louie Hayes serves as producer.
Poots most recently appeared in the films "The Chronology of Water", "All Of You" and "Hedda". She’ll next be seen as Gloria Swanson in "Kennedy" and opposite Matt Smith in "The Salamander Lives Twice".
Reynolds recently appeared in "Seekers of Infinite Love" and had a guest role in "Adults".
