India asks Pakistan to take steps to deal with ceasefire violations, says armed forces giving adequate response

New Delhi, May 10 (UNI) India today said that Pakistan has repeatedly violated the ceasefire agreement arrived at just hours ago between the two sides, and called upon Islamabad to take appropriate steps to address the violations and deal with the situation with seriousness.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, in an address to the media late at night, said that the Indian armed forces are giving an adequate and appropriate response to these violations.
He said India takes a very, very serious notice of these violations.
“For the last few hours there have been repeated violations of the understanding arrived at between the DGMOs of India and Pakistan
“This is a breach of the understanding arrived at earlier today.
“The Armed forces are giving an adequate and appropriate response to these violations,
“And we take a very very serious notice of these violations.
“We call upon Pakistan to take appropriate steps to address these violations and deal with the situation with seriousness and responsibility
“The armed forces are maintaining a strong vigil on the situation.
“They have been given instructions to deal strongly with any instances of repetition of the violations of the border, along the IB and the LOC,” he said.

New Delhi, Jan 15 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Thursday reserved its judgment on a plea seeking withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment for a 32-year-old man who has remained in an irreversible permanent vegetative state for nearly 12 years following a fall from a building.
