India Open 2026: An Se Young wins Women's Singles title, extends winning streak to 30 matches

New Delhi, Jan. 18(UNI) World Number 1 An Se Young continued her dominance as she beat China's Wang Zhiyi in straight games to bag the Women's singles title at the Yonex Sunrise India Open 2026 at the Indira Gandhi stadium here on Sunday.
An Se Young's showdown against World number 2 Wang Zhiyi was expected to be a hard fought contest, but the Paris Olympics Women's Singles Gold medalist was in control throughout the match defeating the Chinese player with a score of 21-13, 21-11.
An Se-young was able to successfully neutralize Wang's attacks through her compact defensive skills while the latter had no answer to her precise targeting of corners.
