New Delhi, July 10 (UNI) With India’s rural water coverage hitting over 80%, covering over 15.66 crore rural households across the country with tap water, now focus under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti is now gearing up for the next challenge in ensuring the reliability and safety of water supply systems for the future.

On the inaugural day of the two-day workshop here, Union Minister CR Patil emphasized the urgent need for robust O&M systems as the mission enters a new phase, according to a government statement here.
