Insider testimony tightens noose around Nashik MHADA scam accused

Nashik, May 7 (UNI) The legal troubles facing officials from the Land Records and Town Planning departments—who are currently under arrest in connection with the MHADA land fraud scam—have intensified.
Shocking details have emerged revealing that Deputy Superintendent of Land Records Bipin Kajale and Assistant Director of Town Planning Kalpesh Patil dragged their own subordinates into the criminal conspiracy. Significantly, these very subordinates have turned against Kajale and Patil. Their testimonies have proven instrumental in tracing the threads of this scam back to the highest echelons of the Land Records and Town Planning departments.
According to sources, two employees have recorded crucial statements during the investigation conducted by the Nashik City Police. These employees have testified that Kajale and Patil issued orders to fabricate and approve maps for 31 of the 49 cases involved in the scam. As a result of these testimonies, the police have now secured robust technical evidence against Kajale and Patil.
