International Nurses Day: Nurses vital bridge between doctors-patients: Principal Jammu GMC

Jammu, May 12 (UNI) Appreciating the nursing staff for their tireless services, compassion, and unwavering commitment towards patient care, Principal and Dean Government Medical College and Associated Hospitals, Jammu, Dr. Ashutosh Gupta Tuesday stated that nurses act as a vital bridge between doctors and patients, ensuring proper care and attention to every aspect of a patient’s well-being.
“Nurses are a vital bridge between doctors and patients, ensuring proper care and attention to every aspect of a patient’s well-being during their stay in the hospital, including administration of medicines, coordination of investigations, emotional support, and overall patient management,” Dr Gupta said addressing a function organised to mark International Nurses Day celebrations at Government Medical College.
He acknowledged the indispensable role played by nurses in the healthcare system and lauded their continuous efforts in serving humanity with dedication, empathy, and professionalism.
