Islamabad police bars KP CM Sohail Afridi and Imran Khan's sisters from meeting him in Adiala jail

Islamabad, May 19 (UNI) Islamabad police on Tuesday stopped Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province CM Sohail Afridi from reaching Adiala Jail to meet with PTI founder and jailed former prime minister Imran Khan.
Khan, who has been imprisoned since August 2023, is currently serving a 14-year sentence in the £190 million Al-Qadir Trust corruption case after previously being convicted in the Toshakhana case.
The Islamabad High Court had earlier given Khan permission to hold meetings twice a week with his family members, lawyers and associates. However, the PTI has repeatedly alleged that prison authorities have consistently denied its members access to the former premier, claiming that the ex-pm has been restricted from receiving visitors for several months despite the court order.
