It’s a blessing to be a working actor: Ankur Rathee

Mumbai, Dec 10 (UNI) Actor Ankur Rathee believes that the opportunity to work is, in itself, a profound blessing.
After spending the year hopping into December with two releases on different streaming platforms, each highlighting a completely different side of his craft, Rathee will now be seen in Netflix's new family comedy, "Single Papa", releasing globally on December 12.
The show promises to be a light-hearted, entertaining experience perfect for families to watch together.
Just a week later, he returns as Arjun Nair in the final season 4 of the International Emmy-nominated series "Four More Shots Please!", premiering on Prime Video on December 19. This season promises an emotionally charged journey, a stark contrast to his role in "Single Papa". His "Udekhi" season 4 is also set to premiere in early 2026.
Rathee also expressed pride in how both "Four More Shots Please" and his SonyLiv series "Undekhi" have sustained themselves through four seasons each, a milestone rarely seen in Indian OTT history.
Reflecting on the year and the timing of these releases, Rathee shared a candid note on the unpredictability of an actor’s journey.
“It’s been an incredible year for my career. Actors sometimes go months, even years, unemployed, and then suddenly God showers you with endless opportunity. This was the year of ‘surrender’ for me, where I kept repeating, ‘Karmanye Vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana.’ I used to think hard work was everything, but the truth is I am nothing without the grace of God. The experience truly humbled me, and I’m so grateful to have worked as much as I did this year. It’s a blessing to be a working actor,” he said. UNI NST SSP
