J&K DYSS introduces 40 Cluster Sports Clubs on pilot basis

Jammu, June 12 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) has introduced 40 Cluster Sports Clubs on pilot basis across the union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to create a structured and sustainable pathway for talent identification and to strengthen grassroots-level sports training.
As per the official order issued by the Director General, J&K Youth Services and Sports, Anuradha Gupta, the Cluster Sports Clubs are introduced to promote area-specific sports disciplines with focus on Olympic sports, to ensure systematic coaching at the grassroots level and nurture sporting talent for higher levels of competition.
The DG in an order expressed that the cluster clubs shall also be established in all identified Clusters in a phased manner.
