J&K Govt suspends DSP over slap incident

Jammu, Nov 14 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the suspension of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Sunil Singh in connection with an alleged slap incident involving a Block Development Officer (BDO).
DSP Sunil Singh, who was serving as the Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) for Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, has been suspended pending an inquiry into the matter. According to Government Order No. 541-Home of 2025, the suspension is being carried out under Rule 31(1) of the J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control, and Appeal) Rules, 1956.
DSP was serving as the Sub Divisional Police Officer, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, and was attached to the Headquarters in a pending inquiry in the matter of “slapping” a Block Development Officer (BDO).

Jammu, May 19 (UNI) The Chief Principal Census Officer and Director Census Operations, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Amit Sharma has said that more than 1.50 lakh households across the union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir have successfully completed their Self-Enumeration exercise within the first three days of the launch of Self-Enumeration under Census 2027 through the official Self-Enumeration portal se.census.gov.in.
