J&K Police’s CIK executes proclamation orders against banned Hizb chief, three others

Srinagar, June 12 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Friday executed proclamation orders against banned Hizbul Mujahideen chief Mohammad Yousuf Shah and three other accused evading arrest in a case registered in 1996.
In a statement, CIK said the proclamation orders were executed under Section 84 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS)-2023 following directions issued by the Court of Additional Sessions Judge TADA/POTA (Special Judge designated under the NIA Act), Srinagar, in connection with FIR No. 05/1996 registered at Police Station CIK.
The accused against whom the proclamation orders were executed include Mohammad Yousuf Shah, a resident of Soibugh Budgam and designated terrorist who heads the United Jehad Council (UJC); Ghulam Nabi Khan of Liver Srigufwara in Anantnag a designated terrorist and a Hizbul Mujahideen commander; Sher Mohammad of Malangam Bandipora; and Nasir Yousuf Qadri.
