Jharkhand State Shooting Championship comes to an end

Ranchi, Sep 5 (UNI) The four-day '15th Jharkhand State Shooting Championship' and '3rd Jharkhand Inter-School Shooting Championship' concluded today at the Tikait Umrao Shooting Range, Khelgaon, Hotwar, with a grand valedictory ceremony.
As Chief Guest, Manoj Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Department of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Sports & Youth Affairs, underlined the significance of the Hotwar facility, calling it a national asset. “Such a vast and magnificent shooting campus is rarely found anywhere else in the country. Highlighting shooting and swimming as Olympic medal-rich disciplines, Kumar emphasised that Jharkhand must nurture young talent in these areas to strengthen India’s global medal tally. He added, “The medals you win today are stepping stones to the national and international stage. We are committed to ensuring world-class opportunities for our athletes.” President of Jharkahnd State Riffle Association, Diwakar Singh explained the qualifying pathway from state to national championships, expressing confidence that with improved infrastructure and support, Jharkhand shooters could achieve podium finishes on international platforms.
