Jharkhand: Temperature fluctuations to persist in the state for a few days

Ranchi, Dec 16 (UNI ) Jharkhand witnessed mild fluctuations in both maximum and minimum temperatures across several districts during the past 24 hours. While some areas experienced a slight increase in cold conditions, a marginal dip in daytime temperatures in other regions provided temporary relief to residents. Notably, no cold wave conditions have been reported anywhere in the state so far.
According to the Meteorological Department, north-westernly winds continue to influence the state’s weather, leading to noticeable chill during morning and evening hours. However, the presence of sunshine during the day has brought some comfort. The weather is expected to remain dry, with no major changes in temperature likely over the next few days.
Dense fog significantly reduced visibility in several areas. In Daltonganj of Palamu district, visibility dropped to as low as 300 metres, while Ranchi recorded visibility of 700 metres and Jamshedpur 800 metres. In the Betla region, dense fog hampered movement, with fog persisting till around 9 am, making road travel risky.
