Karnataka BJP Chief Vijayendra slams Shivakumar over ‘feudal arrogance’

Bengaluru, Oct 12 (UNI) Karnataka BJP President Vijayendra Yediyurappa today launched a sharp attack on Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, accusing him of displaying feudal arrogance and undermining democratic norms.
Vijayendra’s remarks came after a controversy over a public outreach event in the Rajarajeshwari Nagar Assembly constituency, represented by BJP MLA Munirathna, which was reportedly organised under Shivakumar’s supervision but excluded Munirathna from the invite list.
In a post on X, Vijayendra said, “In a democratic system, there is no place for feudal culture. Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar has insulted an elected representative and shown disrespect to both the Constitution and democracy.”
