Kartik, Dube power CSK to 187/5 after early jolt

Lucknow, May 15 (UNI) From a collapsing top order to a late fireworks display, Chennai Super Kings' innings at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bhari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium turned into a two-act drama — and Shivam Dube ensured the final act was pure chaos.
After being put in to bat, CSK were rocked early by Akash Maharaj Singh, who ripped through the top order with three crucial wickets, leaving them under pressure despite a decent powerplay start. At 52 for 3, the innings needed a rebuild — and Kartik Sharma delivered it in style.
The young batsman played a commanding knock of 71 off 42 balls, mixing power with precision. He brought up his fifty with a towering six and continued to dominate Shahbaz Ahmed and Prince Yadav, striking cleanly through the leg side and over cover. His innings gave CSK stability and momentum at a crucial stage.
