Kashmiri Samiti Delhi delegation briefs Delhi CM on issues affecting migrants

New Delhi, Mar 12 (UNI) A delegation from the Kashmiri Samiti Delhi, led by its president Sumeer Chrungoo met Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and discussed several critical issues impacting the community.

During the meeting on Monday, the delegation brought to the CM’s attention two pressing concerns -- settlement of Tehbazari shops and the release of monetary support (Relief), which has been withheld since April 2024, a Kashmiri Samiti Delhi statement said on Wednesday.

The delegation apprised the Delhi Chief Minister about the challenges faced by the Tehbazari Shop owners and emphasised the urgent need for timely release of the monetary support (Relief), which is vital for the survival of several migrant families.

Hearing the concerns of the delegation, Rekha Gupta expressed her commitment to addressing the issues raised by the delegation.

She assured the representatives of her full support in finding a swift resolution after convening a meeting soon at the Delhi Secretariat.

Besides the president, the delegation included Sanjay Koul, Vijay Raina and Manoj Bindroo. UNI RBE SSP
