Kerala local body polls: Governor, union Minister, top leaders lead early voter turnout

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 9 (UNI) Kerala witnessed a vibrant start to the first phase of its local body elections today, with prominent political, religious, and community leaders setting the tone by casting their votes early.
Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar exercised his franchise at Jawahar Nagar LP School at 11 am, while union Minister Suresh Gopi was among the earliest voters, casting his ballot at Shasthamkotta Government School at 7 am.
Several key Congress leaders were also among the early voters. They included K. C. Venugopal, Opposition leader V. D. Satheesan, CWC member Ramesh Chennithala, Lok Sabha member Dr. Shashi Tharoor, K. Muraleedharan, and V. M. Sudheeran.

Vijayawada, July 16 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has stated that Viability Gap Funding (VGF)-supported projects will play a pivotal role in driving future infrastructure development.
He observed that while India witnessed an era of economic reforms in the past, it is now undergoing an infrastructure revolution. He stressed that Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects offer the best opportunity to accelerate development across multiple sectors.
