Kochi, Jan 19 (UNI) Kerala has surged to the forefront of the Ease of Doing Business index due to coordinated efforts by various government departments and a healthy competitive spirit among them, Minister for Local Self-Government and Excise M.B. Rajesh said.
Inaugurating a seminar on “Practical Implementation and Governance of Ease of Doing Business at the Grassroots Level” at the India International Industrial Expo at the Adlux International Convention Centre here, the Minister said the Local Self-Government Department had played a pivotal role in streamlining procedures and facilitating industrial growth.
“It is a matter of pride that the majority of suggestions and concerns earlier raised regarding reforms in local bodies have been addressed.
