Kerala: Two migrant workers killed by lightning in Kannur quarry

Kannur, Oct 15 (UNI) Two migrant workers were killed and another injured after lightning struck them while they were working in a laterite quarry amid heavy rain at Nediyanga near Sreekandapuram.
According to Police, the deceased were identified as Jose Nazri (35) of Assam and Rajesh (25) of Odisha. Gautham (40), also from Assam, sustained injuries and was admitted to the Kannur Government Medical College Hospital (KGMCH) at Pariyaram.
The incident occurred around 2 pm yesterday. Co-workers rushed the injured to a nearby hospital at Sreekandapuram. Doctors at KGMCH later declared the two workers brought dead. The bodies have been kept at KGMCH for post-mortem.
