Kerala: Veteran journalist K. G. Parameshwaran Nair passes away

Thiruvananthapuram, May 20 (UNI) Senior journalist and acclaimed legislative reporter, K. G. Parameshwaran Nair passed away due to age- related illness here today at age of 94.
A veteran of Kerala journalism, he worked for over 35 years with Kerala Kaumudi daily, where he earned recognition for his incisive and analytical reporting of the Kerala Legislative Assembly proceedings. He was also the President of the Thiruvananthapuram Press Club.
Widely regarded as a pioneering legislative correspondent, he is credited with reshaping the style and depth of Assembly reporting in Kerala. His works and reportage served as reference material for many journalists and public figures.

Doctors reconstruct oral cancer patient’s jaw using leg bone at Hyderabad hospital

Hyderabad, June 9 (UNI): Doctors at Kamineni Hospitals on Tuesday said that they have successfully reconstructed the jaw of a 39-year-old man using bone and tissue from his leg after oral cancer caused by a prolonged history of gutkha chewing and smoking destroyed a portion of his jawbone.
