Kharge, Rahul Gandhi greet UP on Foundation Day, praise Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb

‎New Delhi, Jan 24 (UNI) Senior Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi on Saturday extended warm greetings to the people of Uttar Pradesh on the state’s Foundation Day, highlighting its rich cultural heritage and the enduring tradition of Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb that symbolises communal harmony.
‎In a message shared on X, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi described Uttar Pradesh as a unique confluence of cultures and traditions that define India’s civilisational ethos. Emphasising the state’s pluralistic identity, he said Uttar Pradesh remains a key symbol of the country’s cultural heritage.
‎“The wonderful confluence of Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb, Uttar Pradesh—rich in prosperous and glorious traditions—is a true identity of our cultural heritage,” Gandhi wrote. Extending his wishes to the people of the state, he added, “On the occasion of State Foundation Day, my heartfelt greetings to all residents. I hope this state continues to move forward on the path of harmony and progress.”
