Kharge slams 'Political Vendetta' following Court ruling, reaffirms faith in Judiciary

New Delhi, Dec 17 (UNI) Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday launched a blistering attack on the central government, characterising the ongoing legal proceedings against the party’s top leadership as a calculated "political vendetta."
Speaking to reporters following a significant court judgment, Kharge maintained that the legal challenges facing the Gandhi family are devoid of merit and designed specifically to harass political opponents.
In a latest ruling a Delhi court had refused to take cognisance of the Enforcement Directorate's money laundering charge against senior leaders Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and five others in the National Herald case. Kharge emphasized that the lack of a First Information Report (FIR) in the initial stages of the proceedings proves the hollow nature of the allegations.
