Koderma police cracks theft case of govt-owned publicity vehicle in eight hours, three arrested

Koderma, July 13 (UNI) Koderma police today arrested three persons in connection with the looting of an Information and Public Relations Department (IPRD) publicity vehicle, solving the case within eight hours of the crime.
According to police, the incident took place yesterday, July 12, when the IPRD’s publicity pickup van (JH03AR 5045) had halted near Mariyampur village under Koderma police station limits. The driver and an assistant had stopped for a meal when four unidentified miscreants arrived in a tempo, assaulted them, snatched their mobile phones, and fled with the vehicle.
Following the incident, Superintendent of Police, Koderma, formed a special team led by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer. Acting on technical and human intelligence, the team recovered the stolen vehicle from Mandu area in Ramgarh district and arrested three of the four accused today. Efforts are on to apprehend the remaining accused.
