Kolhapur Circuit Bench directs Mah govt to issue notification within 15 days for protection of Shri Mahalakshmi temple

Kolhapur, Jul 21 (UNI) The Kolhapur Circuit Bench of the Bombay High Court today ordered the issuance of a final notification within the next 15 days for the protection of the 1,200 year-old historical heritage Karveer Nivasini Ambabai temple (Shri Mahalakshmi temple).
On a petition filed by priest Gajanan Munishwar, Justice Vrushali Joshi and Sandeep Patil, expressing strong displeasure with the state government for not issuing a final notification for the protection of the 1,200-year-old and historical heritage Karveer Niwasini Ambabai Temple, ordered the final notification to be published within 15 days under Section 4(3) of the Maharashtra Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1960.
The judges warned of strict action against the concerned officials in case of any such incident.
