Kolkata police seal iconic gun shop after seizing Ordinance Factory bullets from hideout

Kolkata, Feb 17 (UNI) The Kolkata Police have sealed a century-old gun shop near its headquarters Lalbazar after arresting two employees of the outlet in connection with the seizure of Ordnance Factory-made bullets from a hideout in neighbouring South 24 Parganas district, official sources said on Monday.
Altogether six persons have been arrested in connection with the seizure of about 190 rounds of bullets. The shop owners have also been summoned by the police.
Following a tip-off, the Special Task Force raided the house of businessman Haji Rashid Molla at Jibantala in South 24 Parganas district on Friday and unearthed around 190 rounds of 7.65 mm pistol bullets made by the Ordnance Factory and a 12-bore shotgun and nine shells meant for the weapon.
