Kovalam beach to have new street lights, CC TV system, Govt allocates Rs 1.19 crore

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 5 (UNI) Continuing its efforts to upgrade infrastructure in prime tourist destinations, Kerala government has approved two proposals for enhancing the security at Kovalam beach and surrounding areas at a total cost of Rs 1.19 crore.
The proposals cover installation of new street light and CCTV system for outdoor surveillance.
Both the projects will be implemented by the public sector KELTRON Ltd., which had also prepared a report and a proposal in this regard.
