Kumaraswamy slams Kharge’s ‘publicity jibe’ at farmer

Bengaluru, Sept 8 (UNI) Janata Dal (Secular) leader HD Kumaraswamy today launched a scathing attack on AICC President and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge, accusing him of insulting a farmer who had approached him in distress over crop loss.
Kumaraswamy said he was “deeply disappointed” by Kharge’s conduct, particularly the remarks he allegedly made when the farmer sought to express his grief.
According to Kumaraswamy, Kharge told the farmer: “You lost 4 acres. I lost 40 acres. Did you bring toor dal here just for publicity? It’s not just toor dal, I know that urad and green gram have also been damaged. It’s like someone who lost six heads of cattle comparing with someone who lost three…”
