Kushal’s 100th store celebration sparkles with Rekha-inspired tribute

Bengaluru, July 16 (UNI) Evoking the enduring elegance of screen legend Rekha, Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharucha today led a grand celebration in Bengaluru as jewelry brand Kushal marked the landmark opening of its 100th store, reflecting not just a business milestone but the spirit of evolving Indian fashion.
“Rekha ji is timeless. She’s always herself—true to her elegance and audience,” Nushrratt said, describing her as her ultimate style inspiration. The actress, known for her versatile roles and fashion sense, lit up the event in an elegant fusion necklace from Kushal’s latest line, symbolizing the blend of classic and contemporary that the brand aims to represent.
“There’s no limit to beauty or fashion,” Nushrratt told the gathering in reply to an UNI query. “Jewelry should be something versatile, wearable on different occasions—something that enhances your personality and works for you, not the other way around.”
Dressed in a minimal yet striking white dress, which she called her "go-to" look, the actress charmed audiences with her candor and connected with fans by attempting a sentence in Kannada—“Nimmanella nodi tumba khushi aaytu” (I’m very happy to see you all)—which drew warm applause.
The celebration was hosted by Kushal’s Co-founder Manish Gulecha, who looked back at the brand’s journey from a humble store in Bengaluru to a 100-store presence across India.
“Our success is rooted in three pillars: understanding what women want, designing quality merchandise that reflects their changing moods, and the relentless hard work of our team,” he said. Gulecha also acknowledged “the unseen force”—families, well-wishers, and employees—behind their growth.
Gulecha also shared that the brand’s expansion will now focus on increasing its footprint across metro and tier-2 cities, promising many more store openings in the coming year.
From its curated collection of statement jewelry to the celebration itself, the brand emphasised its core belief—blending traditional aesthetics with modern sensibilities. “Jewelry may not always be made of gold, but its emotional value is what truly makes it precious,” Jain said. “That’s the real success of Kushal.”
