Lanka Deepak Reddy named BJP candidate for Jubilee Hills bye-election

Hyderabad, Oct 15 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has finalised the name of Lanka Deepak Reddy as its candidate for the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency bye-election, party sources confirmed today.
Deepak Reddy, who currently serves as the Hyderabad Central District President, had earlier contested from the same constituency in the 2023 Assembly elections as the BJP nominee.
The by-election was necessitated following the demise of BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath in June this year due to health issues.

42 Indian pilgrims killed in Saudi Arabia bus-tanker collision

Hyderabad, Nov 17 (UNI) As many as 42 Indian pilgrims lost their lives when a bus collided with a diesel tanker in the early hours of Monday in Saudi Arabia. Most of the victims are believed to be from Hyderabad, with reports indicating that at least 16 were residents of the Mallepally and Bazarghat areas.
