Lathi charge on Muharram procession

Bhopal, July 6 (UNI) A Muharram procession turned violent in Ujjain city of Madhya Pradesh today, causing injuries to five policemen.
Police had to resort to cane-charging on the procession participants, after the latter allegedly tried to take a horse through barricades on a route, which police said, had been prohibited for the procession.
The incident occurred near Khajurwadi Masjid under Jiwajiganj police station limits after some of those taking part in the procession clashed with police.
